How to Use Checkpoint Endpoint Connect R73

Checkpoint Endpoint Connect R73 is easy to use and provides you with various options and features to customize your VPN experience. Here are some of the things you can do with Checkpoint Endpoint Connect R73:

  • Change the VPN mode: You can switch between two VPN modes: Office Mode and Visitor Mode. Office Mode assigns you an IP address from the corporate network and allows you to access all network resources as if you were in the office. Visitor Mode assigns you an IP address from the gateway and allows you to access only specific network resources that are defined by the gateway administrator. You can change the VPN mode from the Settings tab in the Checkpoint Endpoint Connect R73 window.

  • Change the VPN site: You can connect to different VPN sites that are configured on the gateway. A VPN site represents a group of gateways that share the same VPN domain and security policy. You can change the VPN site from the Site Selection tab in the Checkpoint Endpoint Connect R73 window.

  • Change the VPN tunneling protocol: You can choose between two VPN tunneling protocols: IPSec and SSL Network Extender (SNX). IPSec provides a secure and robust VPN tunnel that requires a client installation and a pre-shared secret. You can change the VPN tunneling protocol from the Tunneling Protocol tab in the Checkpoint Endpoint Connect R73 window.

  • View the VPN status and statistics: You can view various information about your VPN connection, such as the gateway name, IP address, encryption algorithm, traffic statistics, and more.
